Announcement:

I.There are 4 types of visits:

(I)       General Visit: This means the application with respect to visitor, weekly limit number of visits, and visit time per session subject to the regulations.

(II)      Additional Visit: The Prison may give additional visits as a reward in accordance with the reward measures in the corrective regulations. If the inmate is subject to a limit number of visits and visitors per week and cannot be visited as a result, application for an additional visit may be filed with the Prison, when necessary, with the reason for the application. The Head or authorized personnel may exercise the authority to approve it.

(III)     Special Visit: If any of the following conditions exist, the applicant may fill in an application form and state concrete reasons for the application. The special visit shall be allowed only after the Head approves the application and selects the reason of approval.

1. Accidents or other special matters happen in the inmate’s family.
2. The applicant has a disability, disease, or has difficulty moving.
3. The inmate requires translation service due to difficulties in language or communication.
4. The correctional institution requires the applicant’s assistance for the discipline of other inmates.
5. Other conditions under which the Head of the correctional institution thinks would be helpful for stabilizing the inmate’s physical and mental status.

(IV) Extended Visit: This means the application with respect to visitors, weekly limit number of visits, and visit time per session subject to the restrictions. The visit time per session is limited. Where the visit time is required to be extended, the reason of the application shall be stated in compliance with the applicable corrective regulations for the inmate during the registration of the visit. The Head or authorized personnel may exercise the authority to approve it. Any requirements thereto during the visit shall be implemented in accordance with the above description.

II.General visit applications may be filed with the Reception Room of the Prison. Additional visit, special visit, and extended visit applications shall be filed with the designated case office of the Prison.

III. If food and necessities are brought in during the visit (including general, additional, special, and extended visits), the office responsible for deposit in the Prison shall take care of the matter. An application form shall be filled out in accordance with the regulations.
